Peaceful World Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a culture of global peace through the promotion of conversations and educational activities that bring together people with diverse worldviews. The more connected people are to each other, the more synchronized and peaceful the planet becomes.

 

Our three main programs connect people in a variety of ways.

 

1. We host Peaceful World Conversations that are open, judgment-free forums for the sharing and exchange of personal experiences. By talking and sharing personal experiences with other people, we learn to empathize with perspectives different from our own. Out of this grows understanding and a peaceful attitude toward our cohabitants of the planet.

 

 

2. Located right in the middle of San Francisco’s historic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, Peaceful World’s international headquarters is located at the Red Victorian.  The Peaceful World Center at the Red Vic is a hub for innovative ideas, intercultural dialogue and understanding. Furthering the idea of a peaceful world born out of connection and dialogue, the space is offered to be used for public events or private meetings by other non-profit organizations working toward peace, sustainability, and positive social change.  We invite your organization to set-up an event or meeting in our Art Galerie Salon. 

 

3.   Sponsoring developing world entrepreneurs is the third component of our work. Part of member donations are put toward the sponsoring of our micro-loan program that is intended to empower hard-working individuals and groups to raise their standard of living. We encourage members to visit the recipients of these loans and engage them in conversation and friendship. 

 

 

 

 

 

When all is said and done, we believe that people care. We aim to bring these people together and encourage collaboration. When people allow others in on a personal level, the possibilities for exchange are endless.  

 
At the Red Victorian Peace Center on  Haight Street, we have hosted over 200,000 people from every continent. Founder Sami Sunchild also hosts World Conversations every Sunday morning at 9am, bringing people together over a topic of importance in our world. Come join us to meet and connect with other travelers and local San Franciscans and contribute to the world-wide movement of building our global community.
