About
I am a student of Urban Ecology, Public Policy, and Geography. I also co-own and operate Mid Missouri Home Energy Services which provides energy efficiency services for homeowners. I am currently working with a group of organizations on introducing legislative policy pertaining to energy efficiency in Missouri,i as well as a local effort to formulate a program to address rental sector energy efficiency in the Columbia area. I'm interested in utility cost recovery for demand side management and financing for efficiency improvements so that people can take full advantage of life cycle costs related to more efficient equipment purchases. This is a short list and probably what is relevant to those who might stumble across my profile on Wiser Earth. I have been studying Sustainability in the broad sense for about 4 years now and am also interested in how humanity in general impacts the natural environment through our use of resources, land use and planning policies. I would like to found an urban sustainability project in Columbia so that all areas/ideas related to sustainable living could be demonstrated and disseminated throughout our community.

That sounds fantastic. I, too, am sure that we will have plenty to speak of and could trade some great articles or book recommendations.

Oddly enough I was suppose to intern with WiserEarth but the program was canceled just before I started. Instead, I worked for Environment America during the summer and was going to go into their lobbyist training program when I got the offer in Mexico. Mexico is a wonderful place with loads of culture and kind people. I am working in media, such as filming and editing videos, and love the work but want to go back to school to get more education, namely in natural resource mangement.
Your mapping work sounds great. I heart GIS and all of its permutations!
