Hi there...
|
|
any one online? drop us a line...
|

Though always my intention - the convenience of the big suppliers and sucking at pump is significant. However, as prices climb over $5/gallon perhaps it's time to get a little greasy!?
A cooperative effort in setting up a small processing plant, collecting used oil for fuel production might be practical and viable either in smaller neighbourhoods (Palo Colorado / Downtown Big Sur / South Coast) or a central location depending on feasability, numbers, etc. Probably the smaller the better, but I don't know?
Is the Big Sur Biodiesel Coop interested in considering changing the supply line in this way perhaps?
Any thoughts?? |

We're losing alot of live oaks around our place on Green Ridge - anyone have a source for calcium preparations? The Agri-Fos seems environmentally benign enough for acceptable use, but as we have trees around the house already weeping, it's likely too late and supporting the trees immune system would seem more appropriate than picking a fight with the pathogen ...
Any resources or further thoughts?
Thanks

OK, thank you, I will explore creating a group when I have some time, but if I have to invite each person individually that would be missing the point. The point being a facile way to message a number of selected individuals collectively

I recently used the maps function to locate all the people in my (rural) area and individually requested those people to be added as "my friends". That seems to be the limit of how I might interact with this group easily. What would be valuable is if (in a FaceBook fashion), I / we could communicate as an add hoc group to explore further possible interests and collaborations. ie. I'd like to be able to introduce myself or an idea to a selected group of people.

Exactly!
My only bone of contention is that the film maker will not win over those whose belief systems are so heavily invested in [Christianity] by mocking them (though I laughed). Nevertheless the documentary is well researched, hard hitting, lends much needed (historical) perspective to current and imminent events, and ultimately, is beatific promoting activism, hope and love!! |
|
www.zeitgeistmovie.com is a hard hitting (on-line, streaming) documentary that puts 9-11 in global and historic perspective. Highly recommended!

|
... and did someone mention universal creation?

Hi Laura.
Can you tell us any more about ZERI and the work you are doing there and what you'd like to do here? Thanks! Nik |

Hey folkypoos. The podcast listed below has our friend Caroline Casey interviewing Mark Kastel of www.cornucopia.org - a watchdog for organic integrity in the face of corporate mthr fkrs [my definition]
This page: http://cornucopia.org/index.php/who-owns-organic/ offers a list of which who owns which brand names. for example, Horizon dairy and Silk soymilk are owned by Dean foods - an big time, Texas based, unethical agri-business, who's name are not printed on the packaging, etc. Those products cheat the ethical principals and practice of the "organic" standards while the FDA turns a blind eye. Serious manipulation of the consumer's good intentions. Anyway, just offering those the interview and the cornucopia site as resources... http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=128912958&s=143441&i=20557253 The Visionary Activist Show for November 15th 2007 [KPFA 94.1 FM, Berkeley CA - kpfa.org] |

I'm intrigued, but it's not clear what this actually is - tangible? actionable? participatory? How??
thanks! |
|
I like that music is included as a language in your sphere. What are you a designer of? Have we met??

In The Wiser Earth Portal on this page (Sustainable Building,) the
Patagonia Distribution Center video is no longer available. (Is this potentially a wiki environment? I could re-source and update the link) Thanks |

beautiful job in implementing this site and I'm encouraged to spend time, exploring, communicating and linking. I'd love to know what Content Management System is being used here as have explored various and not found anything implemented quite so smartly as this! Any other info about what and how (is it all custom theming and modules or what?)
Anyway, thank you all concerned |
