About
I'm a college professor who teaches a lot of undergraduate writing classes. I generally focus my classes on environmental issues and use books like Edward O. Wilson's The Future of Life and The Creation. I'm interested in learning what other teachers do to engage college students with environmental issues. I'm also very concerned about animal welfare and diminishing biodiversity. In particular, I'm concerned about the survival of the nonhuman great apes. I learned about this network from my son, and I'm hoping it will help me establish a sense of community with others who are concerned and want to help preserve and restore the natural environment of this planet.
