About
I am a mother, an award winning playwright, practitioner of playback theatre (an international interactive improvisation method), and drama educator who has designed drama-based environmental education. I am also a futurist, specializing in personal futures and community futuring.
I have a performance/lecture piece in process, "The Tragedy and Comedy of Climate Change." Very short version: The solution to the tragedy of climate change is Comedy. Comedy is universal to all human cultures. The Blessed Unrest is a new form of Comedy that has never existed in human culture till now. It's the largest ensemble of sacred clowns ever -- and they/we are acting to renew the world all over this open-air theatre-in-the-round we call the globe, just as Shakespeare called his.
I am in the process of developing a model for social change/environmental activism based on how to transform tragedy into comedy so that we can all become more conscious and skilled at "being spring."
Love to collaborate.

The little cares that fretted me,
I lost them yesterday,
Among the fields above the sea,
Among the winds at play,
Among the lowing of the herds,
The rustling of the trees,
Among the singing of the birds,
The humming of the bees.
The foolish fears of what might pass,
Among the clover-scented grass,
Among the new-mown hay,
Among the hushing of the corn
Where drowsy poppies nod,
Where ill thoughts die and good are born -
Out in the fields with God.
