I'm an artist about to have an exhibition with my brother at Braemar Gallery in Springwood from 18th July to 3 August. Feel free to come to the opening at 2pm on 19th July.

I earn money by teaching English as a Second Language at TAFE NSW and thoroughly enjoy every minute... well not the travelling but certainly the interaction with staff and students.

Back in the late 1970s I almost bought into a commune in Kempsey NSW but changed my mind and went to university instead. I've been interested and involved in Permaculture from its beginning but have only recently been able to practise many of its principles... I am blessed to be living in a house with a wonderful aspect and am enjoying implementing information learned through the PDC course and through my interactions with Blue Mountains Permaculture.

I am currently the contact person for BMP, a position I'm enjoying during a time of great changes both in the world and with our methods of communication. BMP has evolved from a list of 180 email addresses that received a quarterly newsletter to a group of 52 members who access information via our Yahoo group, our blog and most recently this group on Wiserearth. We used to meet in each other's homes but as interest has grown we are about to start meeting in a public space (see main page for details).

My main interest is Working Bees and our Seasonal Gatherings; the former are held monthly and the latter will begin in Spring. Meeting and interacting with people is a vital part of Permaculture. I can "do" Permaculture on my own but I'd rather participate in projects with other people and similar groups eg Seedsavers. Much like my artmaking; I can "do" art on my own but it's much more pleasurable with other people.
