Mark Cavener is the founder and president of Oasis Entertainment, a non-profit record label & production company working to link the fundraising power of performers with global communities in need. His 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry as a music producer and engineer has included work for VH1, AOL, Disney, Nintendo, National Geographic, Fox Sports, Swiss Air, Swatch, U.S. Department of Commerce and CBS's Northern Exposure as well as internationally recognized artists such as Nickelback, Sugar Ray, Heart, Cheap Trick, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Fountains of Wayne, Live, 3 Doors Down, Jet, Michael Bublé, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Barenaked Ladies, Finger Eleven, Simple Plan, Spearhead, Liz Phair, and members of Jane's Addiction, Porno for Pyros, Dead Kennedys, Soundgarden and Nirvana. Mark was the founder, engineer and producer of Toaster Audio, a commercial recording facility and Solid State Logic 4000G+ equipped remote recording studio which was the only U.S. Company in history to win the audio production contract for Canada's prestigious Juno Awards broadcast. He also engineered the launch of AOL for Broadband's live streaming concert series. Additionally, he is the founder and owner of Illuminaudio Publishing, whose catalog includes songs by members of Porno for Pyros and DADA. He is co-founder of the US affiliate of The Ubuntu Institute for Young Social Entrepreneurs. Mark has served as an instructor for the City of Seattle Park Department's student run "A.W.O.L." (Art With Out Limits) teen music program. He served for 2 years as Secretary on the Vashon-Maury Cooperative Preschool Board of Directors. Mark resides in Seattle with his daughter, Lucy.
