About

A 63 year old grandmother, teacher and economic justice activist, I am co-chair of the national Unitarian Universalists for a Just Economic Community (UUJEC). For the last several years my national as well as my local activism has been inspired and shaped by the work of Riane Eisler and David Korten. Based on Eisler's "The Real Wealth of Nations: Creating a Caring Economics" and Korten’s "The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community" UUJEC has has given visibility and value to the real human economy that sustains us all. Using this framing I helped create the Real Wealth of Portland which is a vibrant two-year-old group that identifies and supports the Real a Wealth of Portland - the wealth which is composed of relationships, knowledge, experience and the caring and sharing that occurs in abundance in our community.
