About
I live in Big Sur CA. where I have raised my family and enjoyed a rich life of being in nature and next to the ocean. My husband Scott and myself along with a few friends began a community group which we call Big Sur Powerdown. Our intention is to prepare for the future of Peak Oil and Climate Change through networking and community building. We are a group of citizens many who are raising their families and care very much about the future of our planet. Together we share knowledge and team together in community projects such as the revitalization of our Grange Hall. We have farmers, permiculture instructors, nurses, Drs. homesteaders, artists, builders, musicians, just to name a few that are directly involved with our group. Our group meets once a month for a Community Meeting and our steering commitee meets once a month as well. We show movies at the Grange Hall and host picnics at the State Park.
