About
I am..
42, male and a born tinkerer.
I love my worlds wild places, but better still I love the idea that we can live with our wild spaces and not reduce them in any way.
I would rather see mile upon mile of wind turbines than one more nuclear power station, I feel that certain mega-projects may be required (such as the Severn Barrage) but generally local is better. Local food, local energy and local pubs, centralisation has benefits but its costs must also be recognised.
Being a tinkerer means I've grown up an engineer, specifically in electronics, however i dont believe engineering can fix everything.
I currently study at Glyndwr University in Wrexham, North Wales on the renewable energy and sustainable technology program. I'm looking to make a difference to my enviroment and would like to help instill a sense of worth and respect into individuals where it is missing.

Hi David
Are you going to the conference at Centre for Alternative Technology this weekend? I would be interested in hearing about any discussion concerning the Stop Climate Change campaign ("the Wave") if you are. Or perhaps you are camped out at Blackheath right now?!
Best wishes
Peter
