Habib's Garden

Connecting People to Weave a Better World

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Steve Habib Rose.  A number of us met this evening and thought that this group would be a fitting tribute. Lets use this group to recognize, honor and appreciate the many gifts and blessings he bestowed on so many of us. Please add yourself and your reflections.

About

"Do not cloud your intentions.  What we need is simple:
just to honor what is true. Let the old ways merge with
the new ways.  Give thanks and praise to this heavenly
grace today....Love yourself. Become a fountain of wealth.
Forgiveness and humility bring this true health....
Build community, not institutional trends...I'm here to be free.
Are you here to be free?  Let us celebrate this sanctity."

To generate specific activations of my visions:

I am an integrative healing arts therapist, a professional Doula, and a student homebirth midwife with an independent business based in integral wellness called Blossoming Birth Services.  I am a member of the Green River Doula Network which offers regular events where anyone can come to learn about the birth support community here in the Pioneer Valley.

As well, I will be starting a ten-month herbal apprenticeship at Blazing Star Herbal School next week.

I am also a workshop and class facilitator.  My offerings range from sharing accessible skills (eg Intro to Reflexology Class) to holding supportive transformative ritual space (eg. Mapping & Designing Our Inner Landscapes) and more.

I also love organizing and supporting any participatory, community-based events that help strengthen relationships between complimentary services, organizations, people and places so that we all can live in a way that enhances our well-being as a regenerative culture.  I am presently hoping to co-create a Regenerative Culture Cultivation Day sometime this summer at the University of the Wild in Petersham, MA.  Be in touch if you would like to help facilitate this happening!

And finally for now, I am working with a nonprofit organization based in Northampton, MA that weaves in a local through global scale network called Remineralize the Earth.

I am super excited about bringing the remineralization of the earth concept into our bodies and beings not only physically in the foods and nutrients we bring into our systems but also in the ways we communicate with ourselves and each other.  As such, I am looking forward to participating in a Heart Circle Facilitator Training in NH in a couple weeks.

You have been telling the people,
That this is the eleve
nth hour.
Now, you must go and tell the peopl
e,
That THIS is the hour,
And there
are things to be considered.

Where
are you living? What are you doing?
What are your relat
ionships?
Are you in the right
relationship?
Where
is your water?
Know your garde
n ...

It is time to speak
your truth.
Creat
e your community,
Be good to each other
.
Do not look outsi
de yourself for a leader.

There
is a river flowing now very fast,
It is so great
and swift.
That there
are those who will be afraid,
They will try to hold onto the shore
.
They will feel they are being
pulled apart,
And will suffe
r greatly.

Under
stand that the river knows its' destination,
The elder
s say we must let go of the shore.
Push off into the middl
e of the river,
Keep our eyes open and our heads
above water.

And I say; see who is in there
with you,
Hold fast to them and celeb
rate!

At this time in histo
ry,
We are to take nothi
ng personally.
Least
of all, ourselves!
For the momen
t we do,
Our spiri
tual growth and journey comes to an end.
The time of the Lone Wolf is over!

Gathe
r yourselves!
Banis
h the word 'struggle' from Your attitude and vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done,
In a sacre
d manner and in celebration.

We are all about
to go on a journey,
We are the one'
s we have been waiting for!

Kay'aleya --- Seeing that you're interested in herbs and the traditional healing arts, have you considered starting your own farm or a nonprofit farm growing the traditional medicinal herbs that are rapidly disappearing from the wild or have been subjected to industrial pollution in these countries where they're grown (e.g., India, China, Vietnam, Thailand)? Good luck in your projects and endeavors to uplift and heal humanity!  We need more passionate and selfless people like you.

the kind of love that grants wishes

I say yes~ and I can do this in the powers of the earthen givers holding me like womb kin~

I feel deep inside somewhere far far away from the surface that I am whole, even here,
even here where I surrender consistently to feeling unseen,
unseen to the extent of being in a different realm, a film between us,
these people, me~

I wonder if in some way with my mind I create separation... but I feel hearts,
I can tell we are all beating here in these human bodies,
I can feel the rhythms of our bloods' outreach and return to the central organ that hungers for vital motion~
I can feel that we are here together, these bodies and me, these breaths,
I can feel the lungs, we are humans, bodies, beings, blessings in this time,
we are here to be free, and I wonder how many folks in this roots like rock region feel that too,
where is my reflection in these eyes I encounter? I see tiny glints of parts of my beauty,
and then we subside, as if it's too much light and the darkness of the underworld is a comfort, into the great weight
of holding hands with the hunt to survive here, it is a hard hunt here,
many humans hunching and hunting, so many individuals going,
what about the we, the weave of the we going together, holding hands with each other rather than the hunt itself?

I feel like an alien who has six navels from my many placentas and births throughout this life,
and when I mention such things here, even in the lightest of ways, I am suspected for dis-ease,
I hear that I am different and that I must have been running from something,
and maybe some of that but mostly running to and with something,
running to and with the breath of beauty in the fellowship of being free fearlessly,
letting go to be with the wind, allowing the release of why and doing for goddessence only~

I feel blessed in my ways and my wonders, and I feel reflected here the strong tradition in our society of working hard
to get anywhere,
working so hard the skin on my fingers splits from the heaviness I hold,
working so hard to be on the top in order to be seen,
how funny this is I think to myself when we can all see each other every moment if we choose to open here to each other,
to our true light shining endlessly, it is easeful, graceful flow, it is beauty and it feels good,
I feel like singing sweetly and loudly, it is SO okay to be free,
let go of these chains you beings of heavy hungers, and see each other,
see your own self flowing like holy water in these days, let the children teach you~

Let the children be seen, let the wise hearts of the youth share great teachings with you,
it is not enough that you have lived 50 years on earth to say that you know more, or can teach better,
and instead choose to know that we are all gifts to each other,
even the toddlers and the teenagers and the twenty-somethings~

It is true that I have had very few 'jobs' but look at how much work I have done! Can't you see the years of wise goings I have been surrendered to? Let us share in this divinely co.created masterpiece that is occurring here,
we can do this together~

I am asking for spaciousness, for release and love, for love from eyes who I have barely met, for love that doesn't mean sex and for love that means we are here together, I am with you, I want to hold you because I can see you and even if your language is slightly different you are beauty and I am of you ~ the kind of love that grants wishes and inspires spirit-action ~ the kind of love that I am, reflected back, true ~
