Born in 1942, in the town of Tiruchirappali, India, he graduated with Honours in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Control Systems, and worked for 36 years in various capacities in the field of Process Control. He took retirement in 2002 from his position as President – Asia Pacific of a UK multinational company. He has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree in Business Administration.All through his life he had a passion for multi-disciplinary learning. His field of enquiry covers Science, Technology, Psychology, Philosophy, Religion and Spirituality.Currently he is Managing Trustee of ‘AMITA FOUNDATION’ – a Public Charitable Trust oriented towards providing holistic education for socially challenged children and the Chairman of ‘ANISHA’ – a Microfinance Institution for sustainable development of rural and urban women. He is the Mentor of ‘SPARK’ (Spiritual empowerment And Renewal through Knowledge), an initiative for multi-dimensional and integrated dissemination of spiritual knowledge.
He is also an author and has published a book on meditation and a book of poetry,
