I have a lot of interests involving the environment and
human behavior that are constantly growing, changing, and becoming more in depth
and mature. Currently, I am making the shift from what I would call a “disconnected”
or “ignorant” lifestyle to one more inline with the principles of ahimsa
(non-violence).
I’m majoring in Psychology, and I’m not entirely sure what I’m
going to do when I finish school. I know that I don’t want to experiment on
animals, but I also don’t care to go into therapy. I’m very interested in
social, cognitive, and humanistic psychology as well as Ethology. I think I’d like to do some work involving human selfishness/altruism
and human aggression/passiveness. I’m very interested in Gandhian values and
would probably enjoy studying his beliefs from a psychological perspective,
rather than the usual philosophical perspective.
I'll be 22 this Halloween. I'm also a vegetarian. My favorite musicians are David Bowie and Sting. I love art, literature, other languages (although I can only speak English), and history. I also like science a lot, however, I'm more of a right-brained person, so hard sciences tend to go over my head despite how fascinating they are.
