I use the WholEarth system to quickly indentify the problems facing any environmental situation where humans are involved.
First, I review the five elements. I use it like a mantra. Housing Water Food Energy Occupation It is very likely that the root cause of the problem is based in one or more of these five things. Your thoughts please. |

It's been interesting to explore the field of peacebuilding while working on CPI outreach. I was involved with nuclear weapons disarmament and anti-war activism in college, and haven't really got back into it since...but I find ways to contribute once in a while :) I'm not familiar with empowertheun.org , that's a great cause to work for! Looks like they have some great resources to look into.
Hopefully in time I'll have more direct real-life experience with peacebuilding! I think it's amazing how you've been working with PTP all these years, along with other organizations and peace-related issues. There's much for me to learn. Thanks for all you do at PTP and peacebuliding too :) Maybe I see you soon.. I will be in Marin tommorow.
