About

(FYI-This is a rather contrived bio I use for work. It's on my to-do list to write a better one for here....too bad that to-do list stretches sooooo long.)

Since beginning my journey as a mother eight years ago, I have been a tireless advocate for protecting children from environmental health risks, global sustainability, and revitalizing democracy. I am an independent consultant, a community activist/volunteer and work-at-home mother of two.

Through my work as a consultant with organizations such as Healthy Child Healthy World; the Center for Health, Environment and Justice; the Women's Environmental Institute; the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, Healthy Legacy, and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, I have demonstrated a strong command in the arenas of environmental policy, communications development and advocacy strategy. Audiences at my public speaking engagements have told me I have a contagious enthusiasm.

I pride myself on my openness to learn and grow, my perseverance, and my sense of humor. I have a very generous spirit and a strong record of contributions to the community. To hone my abilities, I am currently working on a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Environmental Policy, Public Affairs and Social Change at the University of Minnesota.

"Our personal consumer choices have ecological, social, and spiritual consequences. It is time to re-examine some of our deeply held notions that underlie our lifestyles."
