About
I consider myself a bridge-builder between world-views. This means to listen and understand different worldviews and to translate between them.
I studied chemistry at the technical university of Graz, Austria. I did my thesis on computer simulation of molecular systems and turned fully to IT in 1983. I'm working since 1988 as an independent software developer.
I'm a wiki pioneer since 2000 and developed a specific ProWiki wiki engine. Based on this I got involved with many grass root movements and supported a number of them by providing wiki platforms.
I was always interested in philosophy and worldviews. The software pattern movement got me in contact with the teheoretical concept of patterns, as originated by Christopher Alexander. I worked on making this a fully abstract concept (beyond architecture and software). I also wrote an introductory book "Mustertheorie" (translated: "Pattern Theory") about this: http://www.mustertheorie.de.
As a result of my involvement in a number of grass root movements and civil society initiatives I have become a member of the GIVE Research Society, which focuses on topics of regional development.
