About
Hello, I am currently living in Oakland, CA. I am assisting in the teaching of a permaculture class at UC Berkeley Extension and I am co-teaching a Permaculture and Earth Arts class at the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. Earlier this year, I completed my second PDC at the Esalen Institute, with Benjamin Fahrer leading the course. At the beginning of the year, I spent four months traveling in India. I completed a one month Permaculture tour of south India led by Rico Zook. Sites included: Bangalore, Mysore, Udupi, Kannur and Hampi.
I am an environmental professional with experience in civil and environmental engineering, permaculture, green building and sustainable energy.
I have a license as Professional Enginer (P.E.) in Civil Engineering in the state of California. I am currently studying Permaculture and have participated in these recent workshops:
- Making a Difference: Creating a Sustainable World, with Kat Steele, Maggie Seeley and Mark Lakeman at the Esalen Institute, Big Sur, California.
- Permaculture Design Course (PDC) with Darren Doherty at Quail Springs, near New Cuyama, California.
-Girasol Natural Building Ecovillage Workshop, with Martin Schulke, Mark Lakeman and Lydia Doleman at the Girasol site in Valle de Las Palmas, Baja California Norte, Mexico.
- Permaculture Teacher Training with Benjamin Fahrer and Kat Steele at Esalen, Big Sur, California.
- Energy Efficiency Workshop with Amory Lovins at Esalen, Big Sur, California.
I have lived, worked and traveled extensively. Here is a map!
