About

I am an older woman,,,and just hitting my stride.  I worked in early childhood education,
primarily...altho  i have done a lot of various things to earn  the paycheck,
I have  had a myriad of interests, and continue to get more of them.  Several of the enduring interests have been: astrology(western, egyptian, mayan); the cultures and history of Mexico and Guatemala;  the Real Story of the Long Count Calendar that ends in 2012;  cutting edge science ideas;  DNA matrilineal lines(My matrilineal clan Mother is Jasmine, from Bryan Sykes' work) and other DNA stuff;  young children and learning/teaching; Big Ideas;  people and connections, including roots, stories, and
place;  reading and books;  writing;  photography; travel.
Some of my more recent interests are:   The wisdom of the Crone, Women's History, including the Divine Feminine; the arrogance and recklessness of the rapid pace of change;  the power of older women to be activists in the world; matriarchal cultures;  chaos theory;  politics;  NAFTA...the horrors of it, and how people don't know about it;  globalization;  the loss of diversity across the spectrum; the loss of distinct cultures and languages; astrological trends.   AND ESPECIALLY THE ANNUAL BIONEERS CONFERENCE!!!
SAN RAFAEL, CA, OCT 18TH-21ST.  CHECK THEM OUT AT www.bioneers.org  This is where I first found out about Paul Hawkens, and many other interesting people and ideas.  It's a "Gathering of the Tribe"...a very exciting experience.  Come on along!

And the dominating interests of this past year have been :more on the Long Count Calendar; the Virgen de Guadalupe,  spreading Bioneers(showing DVD's). and politics.
Right now my highest priority is GATHERING THE WOMEN AT THE UPCOMING BIONEERS CONFERENCE!, OCT 19-21.  I WILL BE HOSTING A GATHERING OF WOMEN, ON THE AFTERNOON OF OCT 18TH.  It will be a Gathering and not a Workshop.  It will be for connecting, discussing local issues of hometowns, gathering resources---including the connections of friends and emails---to think about "GOING LOCAL".
My second priority right now is IMPEACHING BUSH AND CHENEY.  I could go on about that.  But JUST DO IT!.
i live in san Miguel Allende, Mexico, but am a U.S. citizen.  I love this town I live in.
It heals and soothes with its beauty.  I have a bunch of interesting friends.  I live in a colonial house with my mother, a dog, a cat, and a parrot.  I have two sisters and two nephews.
