About
WE NEED TO DO MORE THAN JUST WHAT IS RIGHT, WE NEED TO JOIN TOGETHER TO RIGHT WHAT IS WRONG.-LEONARD PELTIER
I am in this world to change the world. I have been working in the pursuit of social and political justice since I was 14. My focus in life changed after I saw the amazing documentary by Michael Winterbottom called Road to Guantanamo. I began work closely with many human rights organizations like, Amnesty International, Code Pink, Act Against Torture, the American Indian Movement, and the Afghan Friends Network. I am currently an intern at the International Forum on Globalization* in San Francisco. In 2006, I contended with 3 other people twice my age for the title of legislative coordinator of Amnesty International’s Northern California chapter. Now I am working on a few Native/Indigenous initiatives that are very important to me and my community.
I come from a family full of activists and amazing people who have inspired me to be a part of the positive changes in this world.
