About
I am joining WiserEarth.org as a member of the WiserEarth Group, "New York City Metro Coalition".
I am also a member of the Environmental Circle of the Coalition for OneVoice.
I am a storyteller with a background in Theatre. Much of my work is about helping people change their relationship to Death, and therefore Life. Often this takes the form of allowing people to see that they can change their "story." They can't change what happened but they can change the story they tell themselves about it. I use folktales from many cultures around the world and throughout time to enter this conversation.
I have been an environmentalist all my life, long before that word came into common usage. I find planet Earth to be the most magnificent place imaginable to live. It distresses me deeply that we continue to blindly, selfishly, foolishly persist in destroying our Home. On the other side, I marvel at the many efforts being made to reverse those destructive trends.
Another of my core interests is working to undo institutional Racism. This is a subject that most "Whites" are in deep denial about and unless and until we can deal with it as a society openly and honestly, we will never become a truly "free" people.
