I am a student at Princeton University aiming to achieve a Master's in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School.  Dennis was privileged to grow up on some old farmland outside of the small town of Pittsboro, North Carolina, where he developed a deep affection for the nature and people around him.  He spent four great years at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he co-founded SURGE, Students United for a Responsible Global Environment, which he spent the last few years developing into a strong nonprofit that connects progressive activists at more than 100 campuses throughout the Southeast. He has been lucky enough to visit and do public health work in Central America, the Caribbean, and South Asia.  He enjoys playing basketball, chess, limbo, and plenty of other fun activities.  He aims to help build a progressive resurgence throughout the country through a solutions-oriented focus on timely issues such as global warming and energy security.
