About
I
am a proud Cameroonian who is not is not afraid to use his brains. HIV/AIDS,
Reproductive Health Education and women's rights programming has been my
preoccupation since 1996. Throughout this time, I have handled various posts of
responsibility involving the use of my creative imagination in programme
management. I’ve been with and still continue to be with people who’ve known
real suffering either as a result of an illness or other social calamities.
I experienced the satisfaction in giving and receiving care to the needy. With
a depth and breath of experience in this area, I became one of the founders and
first Executive Projects Director of an NGO called Organization For Life Care
(OFLIC) in the year 2000.
I have a burning desire to positively improve upon the lives of women and children;
this desire has been extended to wildlife conservation. To respond to this
quest, I initiated a process in our Organization that has led to the creation
of a Sustainable Environment Programme in OFLIC with such ambitious objectives.
In response to the scotching effects of the HIV pandemic that is sweeping
through Africa unabated, I developed a special passion for the fight against
HIV/AIDS early enough to become an influential figure in this domain. One of my
objectives in project management is to inspire as many women, children and
youths as I would come across to develop the same passion and even do better -
Conserve wildlife, stand up to protect endangered species.
Today and together with community based organizations, we design and produce
Radio/Television broadcast material and programmes on social concerns
including; HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, Women's rights, Children’s rights and
wildlife conservation documentaries and short films for local Radio/Television
stations. I am in the ongoing process of creating and running Radio Listening
Groups as a means of imparting a change amongst the listeners. My message as is
the slogan of OFLIC is that "Life is Precious" thus we must do all to
conserve and protect life be it human or wild life. Faced with the HIV pandemic,
my message to youths is that; sex was destined to be for life and not against
life.
While its certain that one day, HIV/AIDS would become history, I invite
everybody to take a particular resolution to fight this ill so that on the
evaluation day, your name would be printed in the golden book of achievers as
somebody who did the utmost in the fight. I dream of that day when people will
not need 'bushmeat' to satisfy their stomachs at the expense of the precious
lives of these animals. By the way let me ask, do you wish to join me in this
crusade?
It’s my singular believe that given the means and opportunity, youths can rise
to any height in life and achieve their fondest dreams. Women can be a force to
reckon with if given the chance. However, opportunities don’t meet people in
their beds, they have to go out and look for them. Sharpening the ability of
youths to develop a soaring affinity for opportunities for improvement is my
mission.
Be Blessed
