About
I'm actually a chef by trade (that wasn't an option in the scroll down menu :), though I write regularly for Edible Ojai, which is a quarterly publication dedicated to local and sustainable food. My personal chef business, Manzanita, is focused on seasonal, organic and locally-grown foods with an emphasis on nutrition. Visit www.manzanitachef.com for more info about me and my philosophy.
I'm also a gardener, a wannabe permaculturist (still haven't taken a design course yet), a devoted plant lover and plant researcher, musician, reader, barefoot enthusiast and food activist.
