About
"It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community – a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the earth."
Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddhist teacher

I feel very privileged and proud to be part a part-time member of the WiserEarth team and to be able to work with Paul Hawken's Natural Capital Institute. I help to coordinate communications and outreach activities for WiserEarth. I have worked on marketing and web-related projects since completing my postgraduate studies in 2003 (and since having two amazing children).
Previously, I have worked in B2B marketing in the UK, Australia and France. My experience in the non-profit sector includes market research projects for a sustainable business forum and a green business network. I hold an MBA with honors in marketing from San Francisco State University and a BA in French and Psychology from Lancaster University, England.
I am currently working on helping to make WiserEarth available in French and bringing together French-speaking communities of action. If you speak a bit of French, take a look at a presentation on web 2.0/social media for social entrepreneurs which I recently did at La Ruche in Paris (a bit like the Hub in the UK). Feel free to share/use the slides
See how we're getting on at getting all of this into French at the WiserEarth en francais group
and WiserEarth Paris for more info (in French of course! :) )

and I think Leif Utne and John Warnow rock for having launched this....

To Wiserearth,
Looking at Wiserearth I can see how it has grown a great deal over the last couple of years. The tenants of Wiserearth like the many people and organizations on it are all looking at somewhat of the same issue and that’s how do we become more unified in action across the globe. Which, the Wiserearth website now plays a role in. Over the last month or so I have been proposing out on The Zeitgeist Movement the creation of a World or Planetary Council that would have a unifying effect if applied on our world this is where all the known human disciplines could be arrayed into a non-hierarchical structure. Where as seen within the below link the arrows indicate the flow of information and the categories are in effect the human discipline structures arrayed across the council.
Do you think the World or Planetary Council idea as I have proposed out on Zeitgeist as seen in the below link is something that Wiserearth would be willing to support.

I would be interested in your insight on this issue.
Respectfully,
Randy |

As a member of the "three score and ten" club, I find that as my mind goes, lost of memory etc, my heart opens. I think the Buddha love will manifest itself in oldersts like myself who find themselves graces with the love to bless the work of all of you younger than us. Take a look at http://www.lettertoayoungwoman.com for how I experience it Austin Repath |

Dear Camilla,
I am a MBA candidate at SFSU and in search of a sponsor for a marketing plan. It is a team effort under the supervision of Professor Sengupta. Do you have a program or project in need of a marketing plan that you would be willing to let a group from you alma mater create? Thanks, Yvonne yestrada@sfsu.edu |

Man behaviour is influence by his self awareness , man must be true to himselfand improved self awareness is bound to create and realise new energy in man which shall lead to a determind attempt not only to self improvement but also to make the world a better place to live.

Hi Camilla.
Thanks for your message, and for inviting me to join your network.
There are a lot of elements to explore here but it will take me a while to understand how it all works and find out how I and possibly World Family wish to engage. I am recovering from a period of doing a bit too much and am making some major shifts in my personal development, trying to come to grips with some very basic things that have eluded me in my history.
At the moment I am using every tool at my disposal to "get ready for the bridegroom"! I use this Christian metaphor purely as a shorthand. I am not a Christian. I am religious, but not in any historical or conventional sense. I do not follow any -ism, and I am not and never will be an anything-ist. I have always, however, been open to all great teachings and interpret them for myself for today with an understanding of historical contexts.
I came to see your page and was delighted with the opening quote as it is something I have believed and been committed to since the late 1970s.
I do agree with Thich Naht Han (we have a community in Brighton who "follow" his work and I did used to meditate with them) that the Buddha, the Christ, and all the Great Essence Bearers who have had an impact on history have left a legacy for all those who wish to inherit, and that these essences are arising within communities of people. It is a part of the Blessed Unrest, one might say the Blessed part.
I have just spent a wonderful weekend with 2 groups of people, on Saturday with my colleagues involved in an Advanced Consensus Facilitation Course, and on Sunday with a group (facilitated by the same guy who studied with C.T. Butler and Drs. C.G. and Kathlyn Hendricks, as well as with shamans in the American South-West) engaged in a series of 5 monthly workshops on Core Relationship Skills. I feel these arisings of which Han speaks within such groups, but more than this my own training in preparation for such a future in a group taught by a man of great illumination but never a leader that very much embodied the kind of community Han indicates. All the work and progress that was made in that group has quite consciously been made available to anyone who wishes to connect with it - no "movement", no "branding".
I hope to share some of the evolving ways and means that I have been trained in, having kept them internal for many years, as I emerge from a painful few years of re-birth, and at the moment I think this will be through running some Dragonfly courses as I will be calling them. These are courses to introduce individuals to ways of empowering themselves inwardly and outwardly, building resources to weather any storm, particularly the death of historical cultures which we are witnessing through the failure of the old systems of globalisation, neo-liberalism, neo-imperialism and so on. (I mean these in the same sense as in Vandana Shiva's last book, Soil not Oil.)
I hope to get engaged more within this forum as time goes by. Like so many individuals around me World Family is going through a period of transformation to make itself more fit for purpose, so I may be a bit quiet for a while.
