About
Bridget Thompson
Is the founder and director of m'illumino, a place dedicated to providing an environment for learning; where you expand your awareness of your relationship to the world, your breath, your self, and those around you. A place where you can learn through gentle inquiry to pay attention, increase focus, clarify intention and thus think, act, sense and feel more effectively. As the quality of your movement improves, so does the quality of your life.
Bridget is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® practitioner and qualified teacher of Awareness Through Movement® based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais. She has been a dancer all her life and started BOLD, a company for dancers over 40. Bridget also co-founded Next Stage Dance Theatre, and has taught creative and contemporary dance as well as yoga for many years in the States, Europe and her native Africa. Her passion is in learning and healing through movement, which she currently pursues both in her Feldenkrais practice and in the study of Aikido.
Bridget was born in Kenya and grew up in Zambia and Zimbabwe. She and her husband Patrick met way too young and have traveled a long way together. They have 4 children and live in Seattle.
