I am devoted to researching and advancing
design for deconstruction and building materials reuse. I have developed numerous projects and partnerships across the country demonstrating the art and practice of reclaiming building resources and creating local jobs and am active in the international CIB Task Group 39 (Deconstruction).
I was previously Director of Operations of the Hamer Center of the Penn State
School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and Associate Director of the
Powell Center for Construction and Environment at the University of Florida. I served as a past President of the Building Materials Reuse Association (BMRA),
co-founded the Florida Green Building Coalition, and chaired numerous
national Deconstruction and Building Materials Reuse Conferences.
I have developed long-term partnerships with the U.S. EPA, U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Americorps, Habitat for Humanity, and numerous organizations and am always eager to work with others toward a more sustainable future.
