About
I direct the Ixtatán Foundation which was formed in partnership with the Chuj speaking Mayan people of San Mateo Ixtatán, Guatemala. Our focus is on the Yinhatil Nab'en (Seeds of Knowledge) High School, the very first high school in the area of 50,000 Chuj speakers. Through the school curriculum community projects are introduced, such as new businesses, ceramic water purifiers, kilns which are efficient and non polluting. Our goal is that the youth of the community, will have the tools to solve the problems of their own town.
