About

“One of the wonders of our menaced globe is the variety of its experiences, its memories, and its desires.  Any attempt to impose a uniform politics on this diversity is like a prelude to death.”  (Carlos Fuentes)

I am interested in art/culture as a key component to sustainable development.  I am currently writing my Master's Thesis looking at a transnational advocacy campaign whose work is supporting UNESCO's Convention on Cultural Diversity.  Key campaigns include encouraging international development orgs to utilize culture as a poverty reduction tool, creating trade laws that support the growth of film and media markets in the Global South, and the preservation of languages and indigenus cultures.

I would love to talk to academics, activists and international development practitioners who share one or more of the aforementioned interests.  Please email.
