Qualifying as a professional telecommunications engineer from Cambridge in the Mid Sixties I spent several years running turney projects in this field abroad in Arabia and West Africa.   During the Mid Eighties I settled with my first wife in the Canary Islands and had a successful Investment Brokerage business serving expatriates across Spain and Portugal.

Her premature death in 1988 changed my direction dramatically and I spent some years travelling in Asia.  Having no family apart from Louise my first wife, I lived in Totnes in the UK investigating New Age Communities and Theravadan Buddhism.  I spent some months in Monasteries before moving to India the Thailand for a time.  My Vision Quest took me to Arizona where I met with the Hopi Indians on the Second Mesa.  They gave me a new direction and hope.

Returning to England I then settled on the Islands of Scilly where I started a successful Art Gallery business, where I also traded Hopi and Navaho jewellry and a wide range of Buddhas.   Meeting my present wife Francine, (a widow ) in the early nineties, brought us back to the mainland with the intention of studying Chinese Herbalism.  However, by the Mid Ninities I had started an On- Line International and Expatriate Brokerage business which I took to Newcaslte to expand. This company was sold to a major French Insurance Distributor in 2008 and I have since retired to Yetholm in the Borders with my wife Francine, a Painter.  I remain interested in entrpreneurial business and act as a Cyberspace Marketing Advisor to selected Organisations across the Web.
