About
I am a manager and event coordinator for Aveda in Berkeley, California. Every April, we organize and host an Earth Day party to benefit a local non-profit that focuses on water rights. The proceeds of last years event went to the Clean Water Fund.
A silent auction featuring local artists and green businesses has included Another Planet Entertainment, Artbeat Salon and Gallery, Bette's Diner, Country Cheese Store, Culture Consumer, Earthsake, East Bay Style Collective, Elixir Salon and Spa, Fourth Street Yoga, Keihls, OCSC Sailing, Peet's Coffee, Penelope Weaves, Seventh Heaven Yoga, Siam Cuisine, Tacubaya, Teance, True Girl, Twisters Vintage, Vino and 1234 GO Records. Entertainment has been eclectic and has included fire dancers from Copper Lantern, radio celebrity Josh Kornbluth and jazz singer Natasha Miller. Our ongoing partners for this event are Joshua Tree, New Belgium Brewery and OCSC Sailing.
