My name is Allan Jackman, I live in Durban South Africa having grown up in Zinbabwe. I have spent the last 35 five years in sales and customer management, the last 15 years as a Sales Director/Customer Director. I worked for Unilever SA, Tiger Brands and Premier Foods, some of the biggest Fast Moving Consumer Goods Companies in South Africa with substantial market leading brand names. I have written and published my first book entitled "The Power of People" available from www.lulu.com or www.justdone.co.za . I wrote the book based on my corporate carreer. I wanted to help managers understand the importance of creating a positive enviroment within organizations and how creating the right envroment can positively influence people in so many ways. Unfortunatly the enviroment in many companies is about the consequences of failure and therefore quite negative, very negative in fact. A lot of leadership is based on culturing a fear of failure and not about providing an opportunity for people to achieve great things. I now have a great desire to help and train people in the area of leadership and have started my own consultancy company specializing in leadership development and coaching/mentoring. (www.customark.co.za). I believe you never stop learning so I read and research a lot. The last books being, Lead like Jesus,The New Earth, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and some of Margaret Wheatlys books which I have battled to understand but really enjoyed and could relate to. I enjoy the outdoors, fishing camping and hiking and have a real passion for classic sports cars. I am married with two grown up kids.
