Sacramento Sustainability Action Group

Connecting Sacramento's Sustainability Movement

This page came from the desire to harness some of the energy raised at the Sacramento Sustainability Symposium May 2008. This page is a tool for organizing future sustainability-related events. We subsequently are part of the Rising Tide North America network, which works to confront the root causes of climate change.

About

Mother nature is the Guru of Green Design!

I'm a student of Biomimicry, which is a new science that emulates nature's best sustainable practices and applies them to human (man-made) problems. Nature holds the secret ingredients to sustainable development in her DNA because life always creates conditions that are conducive to life.

I write about applying these sustainable design principles to businesses on my website, www.TheLivingBusiness.comand welcome your feedback!

The answers to our most pressing questions and challenges are just outside your door...we are only limited by our dreams!

I am currently an independent sustainability strategist with The Living Business, LLC. I help companies develop and implement corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategies and programs utilizing nature's principles of sustainable, "green" design.

I am the Program Director for the Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, a non profit coalition of environmental groups in Westchester County speaking with one voice on environmental issues of regional and state concern.
