About

I went to Schumacher College in England in 1997 to study The Natural Step sustainability model and Paul Hawken's "Ecology of Commerce" concept with Paul , Karl-Henrik Robert, and Jonathon Porritt.  It's been quite an adventure since then.  I share several years with a lot of the sustainability people out there who have searched relentlessly for gainful employment since their "sustainability moment".  I've done research on Sustainable Business Networks, and have worked with business, communities and major metropolitan regions on creating and implementing sustainability strategies.  My favorite area in all of this is public-private partnerships for sustainable economic development.  Globalization makes this even more interesting.  The coolest new tool set that I know of is network methodology/network theory, which is obvisouly coming to the fore these days, particularly online.

Additional keywords: Whidbey Institute; sustainability planning; sustainability strategic planning; sustainability management; wine making; and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

Thanks to Paul and the Natural Capitalism folks.
