Problem [Edit]
The fractured social enterprise sector with a focus on accessibility to those the social enterprise sector intends to help.
Action [Edit]
To formalize a network of organizations and individuals that constitute the institutions and players within the field that have a sector wide perspective. To develop a strategic plan of action and working relationships to foster the sector wide development of avenues and paths available to social innovators at all levels and entry points.
Results [Edit]
There are now multiple local, regional, national and international institutional networks for social innovators. I cite the HUB network as an example.
Limitations [Edit]
The limitations are the disparate groups and the lack of overall capacity resources available to the practitioners. As well as a lack of cohesion and understanding in how to best account and assess organizations. Also their are no prescribed inroads to the professional arena for practitioners.
When to Use [Edit]
This is the time to design cohesion into the sector. Investment now into the design of the sectors support structure will accelerate the development of the sector.
What to Do [Edit]
To link "capacity building" institutions together into a streamlined service industry. For example, experiential learning environments (preferably with housing options) that serves both the need for human capital development and for cheap labor. Co-working spaces that bring together various actors to reduce redundancy facilitate collaboration and increase organizational efficiencies. Management Service Organizations that lead to organizational capacity as well as sector wide cohesion on best management practices. Financial Institutions that provide multiple smart levels of financing that are specific to the success of social enterprises. Accounting firms that allow smaller organizations to outsource administrative costs as a group. And a sector wide culture of data collection and analysis; a social Google.
Tips [Edit]
If you've gotten this far, please feel free to edit and add! This is an opensource design and development project. The idea is if the right people see this and contribute we can collaborate and implement this strategy, at first informally, in the social organizations we already work for! Please feel to message me if you wish to have more detailed discussion. Thank you.

Please share what equipment and supplies are needed for successfully implementing a solution. Be as specific as you can with the number of each item required, its length/weight/quality etc, and if it’s a hard to find item, the name of a supplier, its item number, price, website, and telephone number. If you are only giving phone numbers don’t provide free-dial numbers that will not be accessible internationally.

Please share what monitoring and evaluation approaches are best used to assess the effectiveness of the solution during and after its implementation. Be sure to include, or link to, any specific documents or templates you have designed that might be useful to other people.
E.g. "We suggest taking a random sample of households in your target communities to estimate fuel wood use prior to implementing your project. Be sure to include a control community where you don’t implement the solution. Then follow up with the same survey in the same households six months and a year after implementation. The survey protocols and templates can be found in the ‘Files & Photos’ tab."
