Action: The Coal Communities Listening Tour is an engagement and consultation project with members of coal dependant and affected communities to ground future campaigning on coal expansion in a thorough and robust knowledge of the concerns, issues and needs of the these communities.   Above all, this project starts with listening.   A team of researchers and students from Six Degrees, Review Group: Conservation Review

Problem: Poverty and the risk of terrorism due to the growing numbers who are economically disenfranchised. 

Action: The action requires that a business is created or modified to serve a primary social purpose,  by re-investing at least 50 percent of surplus back into the  community.   It was applied in Russia in leveraging the Tomsk initiative in 2009 and replicated in several other cities,   In 2005 UK government introduced a formal model of incorporation of a profit for purpose model with the creation of the Community Interest Company model.
