About [Edit]
The International Waters Learning and Resource Exchange Network (IW:LEARN) is a project of the UN Global Environment Facility (GEF) and UNDP, and is intended to strengthen international waters management by facilitating structured learning and information sharing among stakeholders. In pursuit of this global objective, IW:LEARN improves GEF international waters projects’ information base, replication efficiency, transparency, stakeholder ownership and sustainability of benefits. Among other activities IW:LEARN is responsible for organizing the International Waters Conferences, of which the fourth biennial is scheduled for Cape Town, South Africa in 2007. Their website includes a searchable directory of all the GEF International Water projects.
