About  [Edit]

The Carbon Account is a wonderful open source tool to allow you to track your carbon usage over time.

Whenever you put in a reading from electricity, gas or from your car or a plane trip it will automatically update the graph so you can see the effect immediately.

You can also add notes on a day to show what improvements or commitements you have made, say installing a lower flow shower head or the date you turned of the central heating in the spring.

This is the most visual carbon budgeting tool that is available. It is open source so developers can contribute code to support the growing functionality, there is plenty more to do, but it is a fantastic visual start to anybody wanting to count the carbos!

Interestingly, if you have your old bills to hand, you can put in all your old readings to see how that has changed. Also you can export to excel or csv files to do your own analysis.
