Tamera, Portugal
In addition to the global financial crises, which were evident about a year ago, this year we first experienced an explosion in the price of oil, and then such an enormous rise in the prices of basic food products, that the number of people living in poverty is increasing dramatically. Add to that the daily pictures of increasing criminality around the world and the victims of even more wars, fought mainly because of ever-decreasing resources.
All original, regional, autonomous economic systems are falling apart under the pressure of globalization. Hardly any local subsistence-level economy is capable of surviving the competitive pressure of the multinationals.
On the other hand, for example, the Deutsche Bank lures its customers with particularly high profits from food speculation investments. But this speculation bubble will eventually burst, and again a tremendous amount of people will lose more money while a few others know how to become rich in this business.
In the end, nobody will win any more.
Simultaneous to this breakdown of the old, something new is starting to grow. There is a worldwide need for new solutions.
According to all our experience, these solutions lie in the development of new cultural models based on rediscovered human trust and regional autonomy, and on the highest technological and ecological knowledge available today. The reconnection of people with the places they are living is one element of this; the autonomous production of the food they eat, of the energy they use, and the houses they live in is another. Reintegration of human beings into the natural ecological systems and the autonomous administration of their resources (land, water, air, animals, and plants) are part of this new culture. Above all, however, is the reconnection of the human being with our original sources of life – love, sexuality, community, trust, truth, mutual support, research, knowledge and meaningful work.
For thirty years the founders and coworkers of Tamera have been focused on the investigation and the manifestation of a duplicatable model for such a way of living and finance.
We cooperate with globally active experts in the areas of solar technology, permaculture, autonomous food supply, water supply, waste water treatment facilities using plants, construction with regional materials, and a new way of dealing with animals. For further details please visit our website

In addition to these research projects being carried out in Tamera, we are networked with other peace centers located in the crisis areas of the planet. A “Global Campus” is being built as a network of training places for inner and outer peace knowledge.

Many of our projects are already in effect or are in the process of realization.
Many are still in the planning phase. We must and want to continue our work; and therefore we need your financial assistance and commitment.
Invest your money into the establishment of new living models !
Invest into your own future and into the future of your children! The coming generations will be grateful to you for that.
You can donate money to us, loan us money or invest with us.
Donated money flows into the projects which are not financially autonomous (for example, projects with children, our own school, ecological and technological research projects, and peace pilgrimages in crisis areas). With the money you loan to us, we will continue to build our infrastructure (mainly accommodations for our students) or buy more land so that Tamera can grow. And you can invest in economic projects like a solar power plant that will supply the public grid with solar energy.
We will gladly supply you with further information. Please contact
