GrantCraft began in October of 2001 with a kernel of case studies and examples that served as orientation materials for new program officers at the Ford Foundation. Since then, we've sought out hundreds of grant makers, grant users, and philanthropic advisers at other organizations to add examples and insights of their own, share successes and disappointments, and draw lessons from what they've done and observed.
