About  [Edit]

The students in Mrs. Charity's second grade at Platt Elementary School in Haughton, Louisiana celebrated International Peace day by making Pinwheels for Peace and placing them on Highway 80 that goes in front of the school. We hope that by giving the people who passed the school a reason to smile, we would be adding a bit of harmony to our part of the world.

Then we had a project to find a way to help in our neighborhood by doing a good deed for a neighbor. Many families participated together doing all sorts of things to make our neighborhoods better places.

It was fun and exciting to see so many children helping in so many ways.
