The GEAR Campaign to create a new women's entity at the UN made big strides
on June 16th when governments vowed to tackle the issue. WEDO is working to
ensure that a report by the Secretary-General on the structure of such an
entity, scheduled for release in mid-July, reflects key points of the
campaign.
