About [Edit]
United Nations Environment Programme - World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC)
has been pioneering the delivery of interactive map-based conservation
data on the Internet for many years.
The Centre's Interactive Map Service (IMapS) has been designed to allow users to create customised maps online to meet their individual information requirements.
IMapS can be created for specific regions, incorporating information on environmental sensitivites such as protected areas, breeding areas, species and background information.
UNEP-WCMC works with organisations around the world to create information systems to support their individual requirements. Download our IMapS brochure for more information about IMapS. UNEP-WCMC's Exercise Clean Seas brochure shows you how IMapS is being used to provide training for emergency response activities.
