About  [Edit]

Med_direc

This site serves as a national clearinghouse of information on environmental programs at colleges and universities. A key function of the proposed National Institute for the Environment is to provide funding and guidance to encourage development of undergraduate environmental programs at colleges and universities. An NIE would encourage the development of new multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programs and promote the integration of environmental dimensions into all relevant programs. This center will serve three communities: Students seeking programs that match their academic needs. Faculty and administration seeking assistance starting or improving their program. Employers seeking programs that provide appropriate training for current and prospective employees. In the future, this project will facilitate discussion among students, faculty and employers on environmental education at colleges and universities. This site will be an interactive center for environmental education. We would like this database to be comprehensive. If you have a program or are aware of a program not currently listed in our system, please go to the on-line forms to enter it, or contact Programs@conbio.rice.edu.
