The idea is a simple one.
That people who Do things, can inspire the rest of us to go and Do things too.
So each year, we invite a set of people down here to come and tell us what they Do.
They can be small Do's or big Do's or just plain amazing extraordinary Do's. But when you listen to their stories, they just light a fire in your belly to go and Do your thing, your passion, the thing that sits in the back your head each day, just waiting, and waiting for you to follow your heart.
To go find your cause to fight for, your company to go start, your invention to invent, your book to write, your mountain to climb.
The one thing the Doers of the world Do, apart from Do amazing things, is to inspire the rest of us to go and Do amazing things.
They are fire-starters.

Can doers create interest in others and make them doers? Answer, a big yes.

Yes, doers are fewer otherwise the world would be very different. I am doer of things and see others come on board to ride with me. I have seen many things come into place where they were not. When I started an NGO in 1996, I did not know that it would achieve what it has so far done. It is true there are doers like me in the world.

Looking forward to the results of your digging. I haven't had time to verify myself. But the idea and intention is a good one, so I assume, the results would be close to that too. |

Thanks for having me discover the DOers site. Quite interesting and probably inspiring; I'll have to go back & dig. A question though: why such an gender lack of balance in the list of speakers?
