About  [Edit]

Richard Florida Author of the flight of the creative class....

his work is interesting, I like how he explores how creative talent / potential for innovation in the American people is largely untapped due to how we depend on the crux of 'higher education' to declare individuals qualified for employment  in certain fields, and how that education often boxes them in to thinking in traditional/ rote, non-innovative ways... he touches on how many novices thru history/ individuals from variety of socio-economic classes made very significant innovative break throughs.... talks about the unrealized potential in the larger blue collar world etc., and how this kind of American System makes the american people at a disadvantage on the global level as technology-advances push toward a more globalized/flat world... and lots of other material as well.
