Throughout the city of Dearborn, Michigan, schools celebrated the United Nations International Day of Peace on September 21st, 2007. Students participated by creating Pinwheels for Peace, forming human peace signs, flying the giant peace dove puppet, reading their own thoughts and hopes for peace, and singing peace songs. We held a moment of silence across the entire school district in every school in honor of this day.
