About [Edit]
This first large-scale study of farm-level profitability of agroforestry in the tropics focuses on 21 projects in Central America and the Caribbean. The paper discusses the main challenges to rural land use in developing countries and examines agroforestry from agricultural, forestry, environmental, and social perspectives. The authors assess economic contributions of agroforestry at the farm level through analysis of costs, benefits, and farmer adoption.
