About [Edit]
Today as citizens of the world, we face a daunting array of social and environmental problems ranging from health care and education to global warming and economic inequality. For each of these issues, whether local or global in scope, there are millions of people who care passionately about working for change but lack the information and opportunities necessary to translate their interest into effective action.
Change.org aims to address this need by serving as the central platform informing and empowering movements for social change around the most important issues of our time.

My pleasure. Thanks for those links too Pierre. Can you provide a brief summary of those sites as I don't speak French, yet? Thanks!

Thanks for those great links, Bowo. I don't know of any other initiative. Except one from Switzerland : www.ynternet.org, which is going to be www.zen3.net in February.

There definitely are redundancies among these 100 sites (including change.org and WiserEarth): http://www.unixl.com/blog/2008/top-100-networks-for-people-who-want-to-change-the-world/
I haven't heard many effort to federate or merge these platforms/networks, but here's one: http://www.socialactions.com/
Would love to learn more if anyone knows anything related to this challenge. |

Isn't the Change.org platform somewhat redondant with WiserEarth.org (or the opposite) ?
Is there anything done to federate or merge those platforms ? |
