About  [Edit]

The International Journal of Healing and Caring is a subscription, on-line journal. We are seeking modest backing to make this an open access journal to reach global audiences.

See free issues of the IJHC at http://www.ijhc.org/site.php/spgs/read/BackIssues

The IJHC focuses on the spectrum of healing our planet, healing our society, bioenergy healing, spiritual awareness and healing, and self-healing - through research, qualitative studies, case reports, clinicians' discussions of theory and practice, and healing through the creative arts.

If you reference your article, here is the URL for the IJHC  Submission guidelines http://www.ijhc.org/site.php/spgs/read/submissions - with a copyright release on that page as well. Please note the format we require - as detailed on this guidelines page. We require an abstract, key words, etc. as outlined.

Length of article is very flexible. We offer occasional brief tastes of new and innovative materials but prefer longer feasts. We tend to prefer articles with more meat on the bones to chew on. The web is very accepting of considered thoughts and illustrations, links. We generally do not simply reproduce articles that are easily available on the Web elsewhere.

FYI, we ask for a non-exclusive copyright release, allowing you to re-use your materials as you wish. e.g. a chapter in a book could see more mileage that way. We only ask that you give the IJHC the exclusive rights to your article for 4 months, till the following issue is published.
Copyright release - please print out and mail back from the link on the Submissions Guidelines page. http://www.ijhc.org/site.php/spgs/read/submissions

Deadlines for IJHC submissions:
November 15 for January 1 issue
March 15 for May 1 issue
July 15 for September 1 issue

If you are writing about approaches you use in caregiving, we also like to have reports from satisfied recipients of your care and/or students, who can round out the picture in their own words - how your caregiving feels/works/helps. Better yet, if you can also get a few words from a doctor who can provide objective observations and/or lab tests to confirm changes resulting from your interventions.

We offer friendly editing, with your review and approval.

We'd like a photo of you to grace the article (standard for IJHC in its current format).

While we cannot offer payment for articles, we invite you to share your work and your wares in a brief bio at the end of the article, and can put links to your site(s) with your contact information.

We are also happy to consider for review any books, tapes, videos you may have.

Blessings

Dan
