Social Media and People Power saving our rivers.

I recently launched the Let it Flow Campaign. The aim of this fun and uplifting campaign is to gather people power to save our Murray Darling River System.
Can I please ask you to send this message out to your networks for the sake of the River Murray and all that are here because of it.
Let it flow!
We have the support of many members of the community, and the more that people like you that become a part of the Let it Flow River Wave, the harder we are to ignore!
- Our Target: The entire Australian community and beyond
- Our Goals: To raise awareness to the importance of environmental and cultural flows to the Murray Darling River System now and always.
How to get involved
It is a simple 4 step process
Step 1: View the Let it Flow movie on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHf_XbKQwCI
Step 2: Take photos of your friend and yourself doing the river wave, (please see attached photo)
Step 3: Upload photos to our Flickr Group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1202190@N25/
Step 4: Forward this email onto your networks to spread the word
How the campaign will work
By adding your photo you are becoming a part of a national people power movement petitioning the government to give water to the Murray Darling environment first.
We are calling for as many people as possible to participate in helping to create the largest every Human River Wave. This will connect the the national and international community to save our nations largest river.
Let it Flow revolves around the ancient symbol for a river made into a simple action, that anyone can create: All you need is one (or two?) active arm(s) and a big smile! and then create a wave.
To bring this campaign to life we ask you to take photos of your friend, work colleagues and family doing the wave and upload it to our Flickr site.
Movies will be created
We then ask if you can upload the images to our this Flickr group and through the magic of digital editing we create a movie that will join everyone together to create the longest every continuous river wave, it could run for ever, you never know!
YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr will be used to spread the message

Poster will also be created:
The photos are then assembled into a gigantic poster and presented to the Government as a unified show of support to save our Murray Darling System.
